Indian flagged ships remain in Persian Gulf since June 15

Indian ships are staying put in the Persian Gulf as tensions rise, and the government is working hard to keep everyone safe.
Opesh Kumar Sharma, Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), shared that since June 15, no Indian-flagged vessel has left the area.
A Malta-flagged ship called Disha made it through and is expected in Gujarat on June 19.
DG Shipping fields over 13,187 calls
To help out, the control room set up at DG Shipping has been busy: more than 13,187 calls and more than 29,376 emails have come in. They've assisted more than 3,639 seafarers so far, including 47 in the last 72 hours.
Port operations back home are running smoothly with no congestion reported.
