IndiGo disruptions throw Mumbai airport into chaos for 4th day

India

IndiGo's flight troubles kept Mumbai Airport in a jam for the fourth straight day, with delays and cancelations hitting 118 flights on Saturday alone.
Earlier this week saw a sharp rise, with 85 flights canceled in a single day on Wednesday, and Thursday experiencing the highest overall disruption, with up to 118 flights delayed or canceled—leaving many travelers stranded and frustrated.

What's going on for passengers?

IndiGo says it's trying to get things back on track, but crew availability and slow aircraft turnaround are making it tough.
Passengers have been stuck in long lines at Terminal 1 just to get their bags back, and some like Rahul Mehta said updates were basically missing.
Others complained about getting only partial refunds—even when the airline canceled—thanks to deductions labeled as taxes or service charges.
With no quick fix in sight, some folks are ditching flights altogether and switching to trains for now.
