IndiGo passengers stuck in luggage limbo after flight chaos

India

Since early December, travelers landing at Delhi's IGI Airport have been struggling to get their bags back, thanks to a wave of IndiGo flight cancelations.
With unclaimed luggage piling up and being shifted to Terminal 2, many are left wandering from counter to counter—only to hit more delays and strict Aadhaar checks.

Endless waiting and little help

People say they're being bounced around between desks with no real answers.
Lawyer Akash Chauhan shared how his brother-in-law's bag has been missing since December 6.
Airport staff said unclaimed luggage would be moved to Terminal 2 from December 11.
To make things worse, helplines aren't working and some bags are stuck in other cities.

Why is this happening?

IndiGo canceled scores of flights daily due to crew shortages and new work-hour rules.
Since IndiGo flies most domestic passengers in India, the ripple effects have been huge as they try to sort things out this week.
