Karisma Kapoor is an Indian film actress who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. She is a member of the illustrious Kapoor family and is the elder daughter of actors Babita and Randhir Kapoor. She is the elder sister of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and cousin sister of actor Ranbir Kapoor. Kapoor is the recipient of several accolades including four Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award. In 1991, she made her Bollywood debut with the romantic drama film ‘Prem Qaidi.’ After delivering some flop films in the initial years of her career, she rose to prominence with films like ‘Jigar,’ and ‘Anari,’ which became box office hits. Some of Kapoor’s major hit films were with Ajay Devgn and Govinda. Kapoor and Govinda emerged as the most bankable pair with films like ‘Coolie No. 1,’ and ‘Hero No. 1.’ Some of Kapoor’s notable films include ‘Saajan Chale Sasural,’ ‘Raja Hindustani,’ ‘Judwaa,’ ‘Biwi No. 1,’ ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi,’ ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain,’ among others.
