Investigation expands in Meghalaya honeymoon murder case
The probe into Raja Raghuvanshi's murder during his honeymoon in Meghalaya has hit a "crucial phase."
Authorities aren't just focusing on a suspected love triangle—other motives are being explored too.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said recent arrests in Madhya Pradesh could be key.
Raja's body was found in a gorge on June 2, and his wife Sonam was arrested a week later after she went missing.
Eight people, including Sonam, in custody
So far, eight people have been taken into custody, including Sonam, her alleged lover Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Lokendra Singh Tomar (linked to an Indore flat where Sonam stayed).
Everyone is now under judicial custody.
Tynsong emphasized the team is digging into every angle to truly understand what led to Raja's death—not just stopping at the obvious explanations.
