JP Nadda urges India to prepare for dengue malaria season
India
With monsoon around the corner, Union Health Minister JP Nadda just called a big meeting to make sure India is ready for dengue and malaria season.
The main idea? Get everyone (governments, hospitals, and local groups) working together early so we can prevent major outbreaks.
States urged to increase surveillance
Nadda wants states to ramp up their surveillance so cases are caught quickly and tackled fast.
Hospitals have been told to stock up on medicines, blood supplies, and beds.
There is also a push for stronger mosquito control, like cleaning up breeding spots and fogging risky areas.
Plus, expect more awareness drives about keeping things clean and avoiding water stagnation; everyone from local clubs to resident groups is encouraged to pitch in.
