Karnataka links PUC certificates to Vahan portal for interstate checks
India
Starting April 1, 2026, Karnataka is linking Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates with the central Vahan portal.
This update means if you're driving out of state, your PUC info will finally show up for digital checks, so reducing the chances of fines just because your data wasn't online.
Interstate travel eased with digital PUCs
Karnataka is uploading old and new PUC records to the portal, letting you access them easily through apps like mParivahan and DigiLocker.
Now, you'll have less need to carry paper certificates on road trips, and enforcement agencies can verify everything digitally, making interstate travel a lot smoother for everyone.
