Karnataka: Man dies after being assaulted over unpaid cigarette bill

A payment argument turned tragic in Belagavi, Karnataka, when a shopkeeper, Yallappa Durgappa Naik (48), was allegedly assaulted by four men after he asked them to pay for a cigarette and later died.
The group had attended a fair and were returning in an inebriated state, and an argument broke out when Naik insisted on payment.
All 4 men were arrested within 30 minutes
Naik sadly died on the way to the hospital due to his injuries.
Police acted fast and arrested all four suspects—Prajjwal Patil, Nikhil Chougale, Vivek Chougale, and Shridhar Patil—within 30 minutes.
Authorities are still investigating what exactly led up to the violence.
