Health Minister U.T. Khader reassured everyone on August 24 that the state is ready with enough medicines and infrastructure to handle the situation.
Karnataka boosts H1N1 surveillance and supplies
The government has boosted surveillance by setting up special testing sites and making sure hospitals have N95 masks, PPE kits, and antiviral drugs like oseltamivir.
Private hospitals and healthcare facilities have also been advised to follow the State's protocols for screening, testing, and treatment of H1N1 cases. They have been asked to mandatorily report cases to the surveillance authorities through the IHIP platform.
Plus, awareness campaigns are encouraging people to practice good hygiene and seek early treatment if they feel sick, especially at government health centers, to help stop the spread.
