Karnataka's June 3 student bus pass scheme stumbles over OTPs
Karnataka's new free bus pass scheme for students, announced on June 3, is off to a bumpy start.
The goal is to make getting to class easier and cheaper, but the online application process through Seva Sindhu has been frustrating for many, especially with the portal failing to send one-time passwords (OTPs) needed for registration.

Students are also dealing with confusing travel detail entries, like mismatched boarding and destination points.
With schools back in session, those without passes are paying full fares out of pocket.
Vignesh from Koppal shared he kept hitting OTP errors, while Jagan from Bengaluru couldn't get past wrong travel data.
Meanwhile, the Transport Department says refunds will be processed within 15 days for 19,792 students who already paid, and they can keep using their current passes until then.
