Kerala woman from South Sudan hospitalized with possible Ebola symptoms
A 52-year-old woman from Kerala, just back from South Sudan, has been admitted to Kottayam Medical College with possible Ebola symptoms.
She first went to a private hospital in Pala after feeling feverish, achy, and having a sore throat, but was moved to the government facility on Wednesday for further care.
Doctors take samples and isolate patient
Doctors have taken her samples and are running tests to find out what's causing her illness.
Kerala's Health Minister K Muraleedharan said she traveled alone from Sudan to India via Uganda and is now safely isolated while the team prepares for any updates.
