An 11-year-old boy from northwest Delhi was kidnapped on October 4 by a woman his family knew.
She lured him away with prasad and kept him captive for almost a month, forcing him to collect garbage and keeping him from contacting his parents.
His family, who are daily-wage workers, reported him missing the next day.
How the boy was rescued
Nearly a month later, the boy managed a quick call home—just enough to say "Mummy!" before the woman cut the line.
Using that call and phone data, police tracked him down in a local park and brought him safely back to his family.
The accused has been identified but hasn't been arrested yet; police are still investigating.
