Leaders' families engage BRICS traditions as India champions women-led growth
The 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi isn't just about politics. Families of world leaders are getting hands-on with traditions of BRICS member countries too.
Union minister for women and child development Annapurna Devi welcomed them, highlighting how India is pushing for women-led growth and stronger cultural ties among nations.
BRICS Bazaar runs until September 15
Devi met with Philippine First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos to share how India supports women, especially from marginalized groups (a vision that drew praise and interest from Marcos).
Meanwhile, the BRICS Bazaar at the National Crafts Museum gave guests like Zahra Pezeshkian (Iranian president's daughter) a chance to explore vibrant crafts, textiles, and heritage from across the BRICS countries.
The Bazaar runs until September 15 under the theme "Crafting Cultures, Connecting People."
