Lewis Srinivas from Mysuru arrested over 1,100 fake bomb threats
India
Lewis Srinivas, from Mysuru, has been arrested for sending more than 1,100 fake bomb threats to places across India, including the Supreme Court.
He used more than 50 email addresses and the dark web to cover his tracks, but police traced many messages back to his phone.
Most threats targeted courts and police offices, written in both Kannada and English.
Former assistant professor Srinivas under investigation
Srinivas is highly educated (he holds a B.A., M.A., and M.B.A.) and was once an assistant professor. Police say he acted out of frustration with the legal system over a land dispute.
Now unemployed and living with his retired mother, he's under investigation as officials examine his laptop and SIM cards for evidence.
Turns out some even went to Pakistan.
