Major scam uncovered at Lucknow primary school

A surprise check at a government primary school in Uttarawan, Mohanlalganj (Lucknow) found 23 out of 29 teachers absent—without any notice.
Only six teachers were left to handle nearly 400 students.
Things got worse when officials discovered that 12 teachers had already signed the attendance register even though they weren't there, and the headmaster hadn't shown up for two days without telling anyone.

Three teachers suspended, salaries of 20 others on hold

After this was uncovered, three teachers were suspended and salaries for 20 others have been put on hold.
They've got a week to explain themselves or face more action.
The education officer said these actions hurt students' learning and broke official rules.
Now, random inspections are being ordered in other local schools to make sure this doesn't happen again.
