Man ends engagement, gets attacked by would-be brother-in-law
In Ahmedabad's Bapunagar area, Hitesh Jehani was attacked on Thursday night after ending his engagement, reportedly due to concerns about his fiancee's closeness with another man, Atul.
Soon after, Atul and his friend Gala confronted Hitesh near Shreeji Circle, where things turned violent—Hitesh was stabbed multiple times and beaten with a wooden stick.
Police are on the lookout for the accused
Hitesh's cousin Pintu and friend Kailash rushed in to help, managing to chase the attackers away, but not before Hitesh was seriously hurt and needed immediate hospital care.
Police have registered a case against Atul and Gala for attempted murder and are actively searching for them.
Authorities are highlighting the need for peaceful solutions, especially as personal disputes like this seem to be on the rise locally.
