Murmu concludes Gujarat visit, addresses students at Gandhi's university

President Droupadi Murmu wrapped up her three-day Gujarat tour on Saturday, starting her day at the Dwarkadhish temple in Dwarka—famous for its ties to Lord Krishna.
She later joined the 71st convocation at Gujarat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad, connecting with students at a university founded by Mahatma Gandhi.

During her visit, Murmu also paid respects at the historic Somnath temple and explored Gir National Park, home to the last Asiatic lions.
She spent time with the Siddi community at Sasan Gir—a group recognized for their unique culture and resilience.
Her trip highlighted Gujarat's spiritual roots, wildlife conservation, and the push for education and empowerment among tribal groups.
