Messi's Delhi event: Extra security after Kolkata chaos

Delhi Police aren't taking any chances for Lionel Messi's GOAT event at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.
After things got out of hand in Kolkata—fans trashed seats and threw bottles when Messi's visit was super short—Delhi has now upped its security team to 2,500 personnel.

Why all the extra security?

About 30,000 fans (plus VVIPs) are expected, so police are going all out: around 10 DCP-rank officers at various points in and outside the stadium, 100 traffic cops outside, and a strict ban on water bottles, bags, and hoardings.
They've also met with organizers several times to make sure things run smoothly.
The goal? Avoid a repeat of the Kolkata mess and keep everyone safe while enjoying the event.
