Ministry of Defence says India hits record ₹38,424cr defense exports

India just smashed its own record for defense exports, reaching ₹38,424 crore in FY2025-26, a massive 62.66% jump from the previous financial year (FY2024-25).
This surge is the biggest annual growth ever and shows how Indian-made defense tech is getting noticed worldwide.
The Ministry of Defence shared the news.
DPSUs 151% export rise, startups innovate
Both government-run DPSUs and private companies played major roles, with DPSUs seeing a huge 151% increase in exports.
Startups and MSMEs are also stepping up, bringing fresh innovation (think drones and sensors) to the mix.
All this points to India becoming more self-reliant and a serious contender on the global defense stage.
