Mirwaiz condemns Red Fort blast, urges empathy and dialogue

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Kashmir's chief cleric, has strongly condemned the recent blast near Delhi's Red Fort, calling it a "tragedy impermissible by any religion."
Speaking at Srinagar's Jamia Masjid, he also pointed out how quickly blaming certain communities after such incidents creates anxiety—especially for Kashmiri students studying elsewhere in India.

Kashmiris relate to victims and seek real solutions

Farooq shared that Kashmiris deeply understand the pain of violence because they've lived through it themselves.
He urged the government to move beyond just security measures and instead focus on dialogue and restoring rights in Jammu & Kashmir.
He suggested that such steps could help address the distress and challenges faced by the region.
