Mixed India weather forecast with northern storms and central heat
India's weather is all over the place this Friday.
The IMD says a western disturbance will bring rain and thunderstorms to northern states like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, so expect some relief from the heat there.
Meanwhile, central India may see maximum temperatures rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, while heat wave conditions are expected in isolated pockets of East and West Madhya Pradesh until June 21.
The northeast keeps getting heavy monsoon showers.
IMD warns Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand of storms
Western Rajasthan could see strong thundersqualls with winds up to 70km per hour.
As the monsoon moves forward, Jharkhand and Bihar might get thunderstorms and gusty winds too.
IMD advises people in storm-prone areas to stay alert to falling branches and lightning, and to keep an eye on its live updates!
