Mumbai: 7 arrested after ₹115cr mephedrone drug lab busted

Mumbai Crime Branch just uncovered a massive mephedrone (MD) drug lab hidden in a shed on farmland in Satara district.
Officers seized ₹115 crore worth of drugs—7.5kg solid MD, 38kg liquid MD—plus chemicals and equipment, all part of an illegal operation under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

How the bust went down

The case kicked off when police caught two people with MD in Mulund West on December 9.
Their info led cops to a supply spot near Santosa Hotel in Pune, sparking more arrests across Thane and Pune.
Two special teams then tracked the operation to Satara, where three more suspects were found at the lab.
In total, seven people are now in custody as police dig deeper into their network and gather evidence.
