Mumbai: Thieves posing as cops steal ₹2 crore in broad daylight

Two employees from Y M Infra were robbed of ₹2 crore in South Mumbai when two men, dressed like policemen and posing as Crime Branch officers and riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle, stopped them on their way from Opera House to Girgaon.
Pretending to be police, the thieves took the cash and left the scene.
Police on the case
The robbers threatened the victims and accused them of illegal activity, forcing them to join a fake investigation, leaving them shaken.
Police have filed a case for impersonation and robbery under new laws, and are now scanning CCTV footage to track down those involved. The search is still on.
