Mumbai wakes up to hazy conditions; moderate AQI recorded

India

Mumbai started Sunday with a foggy, polluted morning—AQI hit 154 at Bandra Reclamation and 157 at BKC by 9am.
The haze made things tricky for commuters, especially on busy roads and in low-lying spots.

Air quality varied by area

Not all neighborhoods were hit equally: Chembur saw the highest AQI at 182, while Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Chakala-Andheri East ranged from 114 to 161.
Coastal areas like Mazgaon (91) and Malad West (51) had much cleaner air.
Authorities advised kids, seniors, and anyone with breathing issues to limit outdoor time during peak pollution hours.
