Nalin Prabhat flags 45 mountain rescue teams for Amarnath Yatra
India
Big safety push for this year's Amarnath Yatra: 45 mountain rescue teams have just been sent out to help keep pilgrims safe.
Flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir's top cop Nalin Prabhat, these teams bring together folks from the police, disaster response forces, and several other agencies.
Rescue teams cover 21 pilgrimage spots
Rescue teams will cover 21 key spots along the pilgrimage routes to the famous Amarnath cave in South Kashmir.
The Yatra runs from July 3 to August 28.
To get ready, authorities ran mock drills in places like Pulwama and Kulgam, making sure everyone's prepared for emergencies.
Many team members are seasoned pros from past yatras. Plus, they've got upgraded gear this year to help pilgrims out quickly if needed.
