You can now celebrate your birthday on Namo Bharat trains
What's the story
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has launched a unique initiative allowing people to celebrate personal milestones on its Namo Bharat trains and stations. The service can be booked for events like birthday parties, pre-wedding photoshoots, and other private functions. Individuals, event organizers, and media companies can book either static or running coaches of the Namo Bharat train under this new policy.

A mock-up coach at the Duhai Depot is also available for the static shoots. Bookings start at ₹5,000 per hour, with 30 minutes each allotted for setting up and removing the decorations or equipment. The NCRTC has said that celebrations will be allowed only between 6:00am and 11:00pm to ensure they don't disrupt train operations or inconvenience commuters.

The NCRTC has also emphasized that all activities will be supervised by its staff and security personnel to ensure safety and adherence to operational protocols. With stations at key locations like Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and Meerut South, the initiative is expected to attract residents across the Delhi-Meerut corridor. It offers them a familiar yet unusual space to mark special moments.
Film shoots
Policy for film shoots and advertisements
Apart from personal events, the NCRTC has also prepared a detailed premises hiring policy for film shoots, documentaries, advertisements, as well as other visual projects at Namo Bharat trains and stations. These locations can be booked for short-term use at competitive rates.
