NIA arrests J&K doctor for role in Red Fort terror blast

India

A doctor from Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, has been arrested by the NIA for allegedly harboring the bomber, providing logistical support, and destroying evidence related to the plot of the deadly Red Fort terror blast on November 10.
The attack, carried out by suicide bomber Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, killed 15 people and left several injured.
Investigators say Malla sheltered Nabi, helped with logistics, and destroyed evidence tied to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) plot.

More arrests and a bigger plot uncovered

Malla is now the eighth person arrested in this case—joining three other doctors and a religious preacher already in custody.
The investigation also led to arrests of people linked to procurement of explosives and handling drones.
Authorities have found nearly 2,900kg of explosives at Faridabad's Al Falah University, pointing to plans for multiple coordinated attacks across several states.
The probe is still ongoing as agencies dig deeper into this "white-collar" module behind the strike.
