NIA raids Kashmir homes in Red Fort blast case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) just carried out raids at eight spots across Kashmir, digging deeper into last month's Red Fort explosion that left 13 people dead.
They focused on homes of suspects like Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather and Dr. Muzamil Shakeel Ganai, who were already picked up by police for alleged ties to a terror group called Ansar Ghazwatul Hind.
What's happening now
The NIA is trying to piece together how these suspects might be linked to the blast.
So far, six people have been arrested, including three doctors, Amir, Mufti Irfan, and Jasir Bilal. Dr Umar Nabi, who reportedly drove the car used in the attack, was part of the module but is not listed among those arrested by the NIA in the source.
Police had also seized over 350kg of ammonium nitrate from them before the explosion.
The investigation is still very much ongoing as officials look for more evidence connecting everyone involved.
