'No flights, no refunds': Chaos at Lucknow airport over cancelations

Things got tense at Lucknow Airport on Saturday as frustrated passengers faced long waits and canceled IndiGo flights—some even ended up arguing in the terminals.
The chaos followed IndiGo's cancelation of over 1,000 flights on Friday due to ongoing roster and crew-related issues, leaving many travelers stranded and confused.

Government steps in with airfare caps

To help out, the government has put a cap on ticket prices for affected routes—between ₹7,500 and ₹18,000 depending on distance—to stop airlines from hiking fares during the mess.
Authorities will also keep a close eye on IndiGo's staffing practices with regular reviews while delays continue across major airports.
