Noida-Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressways: Speed limits dropping soon
Heads up if you drive on the Noida-Greater Noida or Yamuna Expressways—starting December 15, 2025, the speed limit for cars will drop from 100km/h to 75km/h.
This change is all about keeping people safer during foggy, slippery winter months.
Heavy vehicles keep their current limits: 60km/h on Yamuna and 50km/h on Noida.
Why the change?
Officials are working to get these new limits updated on Google Maps so everyone's in the loop.
Even with safety steps like reflective signs and patrols, over 59,000 speeding cases were recorded just this year.
Last year saw hundreds of deaths and injuries from accidents—and numbers are still high in 2025.
Authorities are urging drivers to keep fog lamps and wipers in good shape and stay extra cautious when visibility drops.
