The accused PT (physical training) teacher was detained by police; the victim's parents filed a complaint at Jadavpur Police station. Blood stains spotted on victim's clothes
The incident came to light when the child returned home after school; she continuously cried and also complained of severe stomach pain. Her mother noticed there were blood stains on her clothes. Upon enquiring, she told her mother that the PT teacher took her inside the toilet but couldn't narrate further. She was taken to a pediatrician who advised them to approach the police.

Girl identified not one but two teachers
The four-year-old girl has been admitted to the government-run SSKM Hospital. Doctors have conducted tests for confirming sexual assault and reports are awaited. Some reports claim the accused lured the girl to the toilet, promising to give her chocolates. She was shown porn clips and then sexually assaulted. The girl has reportedly identified two teachers from the pictures the investigators showed.
Protests
Incident sparks outrage; parents stage protests
Massive protests by the parents of other students in the school broke out after the incident. The parents held protests at the school entrance demanding the authorities to suspend the accused immediately. Meanwhile, the school administration said: "We are doing an internal investigation. We can give assurance to all parents that security & safety will be given top priority."
