Odisha launches online 2027 census self-enumeration, Governor Kambhampati urges participation
Odisha just launched its self-enumeration drive for the 2027 Census, with Gov. Hari Babu Kambhampati leading by example and encouraging everyone to take part.
This marks India's first-ever digital census, so you can fill out your details online at e.census.gov.in until April 15.
The Governor called it an important national exercise that forms the foundation for planning and development, and it's all about making sure everyone is counted, easily and accurately.
Over 100,000 enumerators to verify entries
Once you submit your info online, trained enumerators will double-check things during home visits from April 16 to May 15 across all of Odisha's districts.
Over 100,000 enumerators and thousands of supervisors are on the job to keep things smooth.
The main population count happens next year, from February 9 to 28, 2027, so this early step gives everyone a chance to be heard in shaping Odisha's future.
