    ISRO invites applications for Technical Assistant at Delhi headquarters

    The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has invited online applications for the post of Technical Assistant (Electrical) in New Delhi. As per the notification, the position is available at the Department of Space Secretariat in New Delhi and the last date to apply is June 27. Notably, there is only one position available in total and is under the unreserved category. Here's more.

    First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering, a must for applicants

    In order to apply for the position, one must essentially hold a first-class diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institutions, boards, or universities. Candidates with a BTech degree can only apply if they also possess the diploma. Further, an applicant must be under the age of 35 as on June 27, 2019. However, age relaxation is provided to a few applicants.

    Government of India provides age relaxation to these applicants

    As per the orders of the Government of India, Central Government employees, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, widows, meritorious sportspersons, and divorced or women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried, are given the age relaxation.

    Not all applicants allowed to sit for the written test

    Notably, not all the applicants will be eligible for the written test. Initial screening will be done by the organization to shortlist the applicants. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates will receive a call letter for the written test, which is scheduled on August 8. Further, based on their written test performance, candidates will be selected for a skill-based test, in which one needs 60% to qualify.

    Selected candidate to get basic salary of Rs. 44,900/month

    However, the score of the written test will be considered for the final selection. The final candidate will be eligible for a "Level 7" pay with a minimum basic salary of Rs. 44,900 per month along with various other allowances. Further, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidized canteen, etc. are allowed as per government orders.

    If you are eligible for the post, follow the steps below to apply: 1- Visit the official link provided here, apps.isac.gov.in 2- Click on the "Technical Assistant (Electrical)" option 3- Fill in your personal and educational details 4- Upload the required documents 5- Make the payment before June 27 6- Preserve the registration number for further reference.

    Both online and offline payment modes available

    The application fee is Rs. 100 and applicants can make the payment via online mode (internet banking/debit or credit card) or offline mode. For offline mode, applicants will have to generate a challan online and make payment at any of the SBI branches.
