Over 100 Longdi Primary students treated after Hanuman Jayanti meal
India
More than 100 students from Longdi Primary School in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, landed in the hospital on Wednesday after eating pav bhaji and pulao at a Hanuman Jayanti celebration.
Soon after the meal, many kids started feeling sick with stomach pain and nausea, leading to a quick medical response: 25 were taken straight to Mahuva General Hospital.
Health department to collect food samples
Over 60 other students were treated right in their village.
Thankfully, doctors say all hospitalized children are stable and many are expected to be discharged after observation.
Health department officials are expected to collect food samples from the site to determine the cause.
The primary focus remains the full recovery of the young students.
