Pakistan 'epicentre of global terrorism,' says Jaishankar at UNGA
India
At the UN General Assembly this Saturday, India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar called out Pakistan as "an epicenter of global terrorism."
He cited the recent Pahalgam attack—which killed 26 civilians—as proof of ongoing cross-border threats, and firmly stated that India will defend its people and seek justice.
Jaishankar calls for united global response against terrorism
Jaishankar urged countries to work together against terrorism, describing it as a mix of bigotry, violence, intolerance and fear that needs a united response.
He also warned that such actions must be unequivocally condemned, and pushed for global condemnation of any state policies supporting terror or its financing.
His message comes during the context of continued tensions between India and Pakistan.
