PM Modi says healthcare sector about to explode with opportunities
Prime Minister Narendra Modi says India's healthcare sector is about to explode with new opportunities, especially for young people.
Thanks to demographic shifts and a global need for caregivers, millions of jobs, like caretakers and nursing aides, could open up soon.
He shared this vision at the Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas post-Budget webinar on Monday.
Telemedicine a game-changer
Modi also highlighted telemedicine as a game-changer, especially in rural areas, saying it could improve access to care.
He also said the care economy could create millions of skill-based jobs for youth.
With rising demand for medical services and not enough professionals to fill the gaps, roles like dermatologists are now in high demand (with salaries hitting ₹93,000 a month).
As demand for health services rises and India invests in new medical colleges and schemes like Ayushman Bharat, there's never been a better time to consider a future in healthcare.
