PM Modi to launch projects worth ₹16,450cr in Kerala, Tamil Nadu
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heading to Kerala and Tamil Nadu on March 11 to kick off development projects worth ₹16,450 crore.
Big highlights include a new ₹5,500 crore polypropylene unit at BPCL's Kochi Refinery and major upgrades like six-laning NH 66 and the Kozhikode Bypass, both meant to make travel smoother.
There's also a 50-megawatt floating solar project in Kollam, showing India's push for cleaner energy.
In Tamil Nadu, focus on gas and lubricant production
In Tiruchirappalli, the spotlight is on BPCL's city gas network and a new lubricant blending plant in Chennai, moves that should strengthen regional gas availability and lubricants manufacturing capacity.
Plus, fresh rural roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana are set to make it easier for remote communities to access essential services.
