President Droupadi Murmu participates in Census 2027 online self-enumeration
President Droupadi Murmu participated in the self-enumeration initiative for Census 2027, making it easier for citizens to fill in their household details online at se.census.gov.in.
This marks a big shift toward a more digital, user-friendly census process.
Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Registrar General Mritunjay Kumar Narayan were also present.
Online 15-day window then phased door-to-door
You get a 15-day window to enter your info online, already open in NDMC and Delhi Cantonment, and coming up May 1-15 for MCD areas.
If you miss it, don't worry: census teams will go door-to-door in two phases (April 16-May 15 for NDMC/Delhi Cantonment, May 16-June 15 for MCD) to make sure everyone's counted.
The census itself runs in two parts: first they list houses, then they count people, making things smoother and more efficient than before.
