BRICS summit discusses MSME startup support
Modi encouraged more than just government officials to get involved: he called on farmers, researchers, women, and youth to join in building stronger ties.
The summit also focused on making life easier for startups and MSMEs: ideas like invoice discounting for faster payments, Brics Connect, an initiative focused on skills, women's workforce participation, social security and capacity building, the Brics Incubator Network to connect startups and incubators across member countries, and a Brics Startup Innovation Fund, India has proposed, were all discussed to support fresh ideas and boost participation.
