Russian President Vladimir Putin just kicked off a two-day visit to India, meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time since 2021.
The leaders participated in a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan and, during the 23rd Annual Summit, reaffirmed their commitment to tackling terrorism and organized crime together.

In a joint statement, Modi and Putin condemned recent terror attacks in Jammu & Kashmir (April 2025) and Moscow (March 2024), calling for action against cross-border terrorism and its funding.
