Rajasthan: 3 killed, several injured in head-on collision

India

A serious crash on Sunday near Ratanpura, Rajasthan, left three people dead and six others hurt when a car carrying nine passengers collided head-on with a truck.
The impact was severe enough to trap several passengers inside the wrecked car.

Quick rescue but heavy loss

Locals and police acted fast—everyone was pulled from the car within 10 minutes and rushed to NIMS Hospital.
Sadly, three people didn't make it. Two others are fighting for their lives on ventilators, while four more are being treated for serious injuries.

Pilgrimage turns tragic

The group was headed to Khatushyamji for a religious trip when disaster struck.
The truck driver involved ran away from the scene and is still missing.

Why this matters

National highways are just 8% of Rajasthan's roads but see over 60% of its road deaths—mostly due to speeding.
This accident is another tough reminder that better road safety measures really can't wait any longer.
