Rajasthan approves Rampura Kanwarpura primary school after student protest
After a student-led protest turned tense in Rampura Kanwarpura village, the Rajasthan government has finally approved a brand-new primary school building.
The old school was declared unsafe last year, forcing students to study in makeshift classrooms, so this upgrade is a big relief for students and teachers alike.
School construction starts Sept 1 ₹18L
Construction of the new ₹18 lakh school starts September 1, 2026, funded by ₹12 lakh from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) and another ₹6 lakh from the MLA fund.
This isn't just a one-off: it's part of Rajasthan's huge ₹12,500 crore plan to build thousands of schools and smart classrooms by 2029.
CJP described the development as a win and says it will keep an eye on progress to make sure promises turn into real change for students across the state.
