Rising water levels in Indian rivers trigger warnings
Heads up—water levels at 11 river monitoring stations across India have risen past warning marks, according to the Central Water Commission (CWC).
The good news? They're still below danger levels, and no locations are facing severe floods right now.
Areas being watched include rivers in Assam (Kushiyara, Brahmaputra) and Bihar (Kosi, Bagmati, Gandak).

'Above-normal' flood situations being monitored at 12 locations
The CWC is also keeping an eye on "above-normal" flood situations at 12 spots across Assam, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
Rivers like the Ganga in UP and Subarnarekha in Odisha are running high.
With monsoon rains still active and inflow forecasts out for 23 sites nationwide, officials are monitoring things closely to keep everyone safe.
