'RSS doesn't do politics,' says Mohan Bhagwat during Manipur visit
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, while visiting Manipur, made it clear that the organization doesn't get involved in politics or control other groups.
He said, "The Sangh neither engages in politics nor remotely controls any organization. RSS works only through friendship, affection and social harmony."
His comments come amid ongoing discussions and perceptions about the RSS's role in Indian society.
What happened in Manipur?
Bhagwat, during his three-day visit to Manipur, met with over 200 Janajati leaders at a traditional Manipuri lunch in Imphal.
He described RSS as a group focused on unity and building strong character—not reacting to outside pressures but fixing divisions within society.
He also encouraged everyone to feel proud of their roots and traditions, while sticking to the Constitution.
Why does it matter?
Responding to tribal leaders' concerns about national issues, Bhagwat said real solutions come from unity and open conversation—not bargaining.
He invited anyone curious about the RSS to check out their local Shakhas (branches) and see how they work at the grassroots level, especially as Manipur continues its recovery from conflict.
