Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra granted bail in Goa nightclub fire
India
Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, who own Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa, are out on bail after being granted bail over a deadly fire at their club last December that claimed 25 lives.
Their earlier plea for anticipatory bail was turned down because of separate forgery and cheating charges linked to the case.
FIR alleges Luthra brothers forged documents
Besides the fire tragedy, the Luthra brothers are also accused of forging a no-objection certificate from the health office to get licenses and approvals for their nightclub.
Police have filed another FIR against them for using fake documents to keep the club running, raising even more questions about safety and accountability in nightlife spots.
