The Supreme Court has hit pause on deciding whether activists Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam will get bail for their alleged roles in the February 2020 Delhi riots.
Both are facing serious charges under anti-terror laws, and the judges heard arguments from all sides before reserving their verdict.

What's at stake?

Delhi Police say the riots weren't random—they call it an "orchestrated, pre-planned and well-designed" attack on India's sovereignty during protests against the CAA and NRC.
