Speeding truck hits tempo, kills 8 women on Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway

Eight women workers tragically lost their lives on Wednesday when a speeding truck crashed into their tempo on the Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway in Jalna, Maharashtra.
The group was heading home after a day of cleaning work. Seven died at the scene, while one passed away later at the hospital.
Three others were injured but survived.
Driver arrested under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
The truck driver has been arrested and faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Most victims have been identified, though one name is still pending confirmation.
Maharashtra's Environment Minister Pankaja Munde shared her condolences and promised financial help for both the victims' families and those injured.
Police are investigating how it happened.
