Police say the owner of Rose Cottage skipped mandatory paperwork (Form C) and didn't have official tourism registration either, which landed him in hot water under immigration laws.

The Chinese visitor, Hu Congtai, was picked up by police on December 10 for breaking foreigner registration rules and sent back to Delhi soon after.
Following this, police reminded all local hosts to stick to the rules—especially reporting foreign guests properly—so everyone stays out of trouble.
