Telangana braces for chilly days as cold wave alert issued
India
A cold wave alert is on for 12 districts in Telangana after temperatures took a sharp dip, with Tiryani (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad) hitting a frosty 5.4°C—the lowest so far.
Adilabad, Mancherial, and several others also saw the mercury drop below 10°C, making mornings and nights extra chilly across much of the state.
How cold is it really?
It's not just one or two spots—Bheempoor in Adilabad recorded 6.1°C, Moinabad (Rangareddy) hit 6.4°C, and Akbarpet-Bhoompally (Siddipet) saw 7.0°C.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, a whopping 26 districts have dipped under 10°C lately.
Hyderabad isn't freezing but expect misty or hazy mornings with lows around 11-12°C for the next few days as this cold snap sticks around.
