Telangana to build state-run ride-hailing app designed by IT department
Big news for Hyderabad commuters and auto drivers: Telangana's government would develop a state-run ride-hailing app, designed by the IT department, to give local drivers a fair shot against Uber and Ola.
This move follows auto drivers, who called off their planned strike after assurances from the state government.

final decisions on the ruling Congress promise of providing ₹12,000 annually to the auto drivers will come after consultations with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other ministers.
